Finally yesterday, I was able to take my 08 SG out on the road. I absolutely love the ride! However, after about 40 miles my shoulders started burning. I have managed another 20 miles but that was it. Too much pain in my shoulders.
I understand that I could replace the handlebars buth how do I determine what would work, what size, etc. Also, will the exisitng cables work , or would I need to replace them to?

Fast becomingt the # 1 complaint with the 08 SG..!!!
Hear that MOCO...???
There are a ton of threads here about that.. Do a search and plan to be reading for about 3 hours..!!
I have the same issue with my 2008 Ultra. I am 5"8 and fit very well on my 2005 FLHTCI but not on this one. The new frame, longer gas tank has the rider pushed back about 1.5" to 2" further than the 07's and older. I am researching what it will cost me to change out my bars also. Not looking good. The whole process looks like it will take 4 or 5 hours to do. Complete fairing removal for 08 Ultra.
The good news is that I enjoy the new room for my feet. A Reach Seat will put you up on topyour foot controls. I don't like that.
