let me just say, i have a 2008 flhtci, i just installed wild pigs @ $180.00-$230.00 depending on where you get em. i absolutely love them. deep rumble when you crank on em. i also done the moco stage 1 download and seac. worked perfect for me and saved the extra $$$ for shiny stuff. just my 2 pennies...
I have a 2007 Electra Glide Classic and I love the bike, but I'am discovering the stock pipes just aren't getting it done sound wise. Feel's like I'm sitting on a goldwing. I would like a little more of the Harley rumble, but not to extreme, soI can save what little hearing I have left and enjoy the radio. Any advice from fellow baggers would be greatly appreciated. This is new to me and what other uprades will I need besides an AC.. Thanks all and happy and safe trails..
V&H Ovals....the perfect balance between rumble and loud! Just be sure to re-use the HD clamps. The V&H clamps are trash!
I bought my SE slip-ons from a buddy who had to have Rinehardt True Duals on his 95" '06 Ultra. The SE's had about 30K miles on them when I got them and they sounded great!! To me, they have a deeper tone than the TD's but are not quite as loud.
The muffler, AC, and PCIII combo is a great bang for the buck, and the sound is throaty without overpowering your eardrums or stereo. Here's my write-up on the baffles. I already had the PCIII and AC, so the review is primarily for the baffles and map.
I got some pythons on my road king custom.....Not many people have them...bought the stage 1 /vance and hines fuel pack and slip on and did it all myself....everything works well together and sound great......but I would do like some of the others said and go to the dealer on a saturday and listen to some bikes
I like the SuperTrapp SE's...only 3 decibels louder than stock, with a deeper rumble. They have an internal double wall construction so won't yellow due to heat. They are actually the old style Screaming Eagle pipes. When Harley discontinuedusing themdue to EPA, SuperTrapp decided to sell them as SuperTrapp SE(Super Elite).
Thank you all very much.
I gotta say your responses was awesome. Its great to know you can go somewhere and get great advice and knowledge from so many. I'm new to this forum and will not go a day now without coming in and learning from you all..
Thanks again, happy& safe trails.
Definitely some good pipes mentioned above, but for quality AND sound, the 2 best are still Bub (either the Rineharts or the new Bub 7's) or Vance and Hines, imho.
