Default pack the pipe?
i have a V&H propipe w/stock baffle...i know i shouldn't take out the baffle, but will taking out the fiberglass packing "F" up my bike?

The packing that you are referring to shouldn't have any effect on the performance of your bike. It is between the pipe and baffle and does not mess with the air flow. I'd be curious to hear if it sounds much different too.

I asked a similar question about a year ago. I was told by a fellow forum member to put a hoseclamp over the front 2 sets of holes in the baffle would improve torque. We wrapped his baffle with a fiberglass mat. His was loud without the baffle. He loves it now. I think it's still too loud, but I have V&H Ovals.

I took the packing out of a propipe on a previous bike. Didn't like the sound at all. Louder and a "raspy" sound. Much better with the packing
imho.
