Just picked up my second bike an 08 Ultra. I only purchased exhaust when I made the deal and wanted to ride for a couple of months before I started adding. I have come to enjoy the radio however I am a satellite (Sirius) radio fan. Is there a integrated solution that doesn't fit on the handle bars? I prefer to use the exisiting radio and know that XM modules are available. Any feedback would be helpful. Also who has added the Harley NAV to their premium audio system? Planning my first road trip and would like to use a NAV system from time to time. Thanks for all your feedback.
Sirius and XM are about to merge, so hopefully we can soon get the Harley XM module and maybe it will have the Sirius programming as well.. That's what I'm waiting for.. Howard Stern fan?? I hope Artie comes back!
I can't speak to the premium stereo system, unless it
is different from my 2003 flhtci hd stereo but I would recommend
you look at Zumo (550?) instead of the HD nav GPS.
The HD version is a Garmin Quest 2 with HD dealers added in
so you can plan breakdown visits (sorry couldn't resist).
It is an "ok" unit but you must stop your bike to do any queries,
vs Zumo "touchscreen) . If you must go with the HDkind buy the
Garmin version, save yourself several hundred dollars. Mind you the HD version does have a nice HD emblem on it.......!
The Quest 2 connects to your stereo and runs on the Auxillary
channel, so no music. Maybe the 2008 version is different, I don't know.
Ride safe

Sorry I don't have any pictures yet, but it mounted very easy. It came with a cable to plug into the AUX port of your radio. I installed my on the right side. Please let me know if you have any questions I can help with.
I am very glad to have it installed and would do the same thing all over again if I needed to.
For a NAV I went with the very popular Zumo 550 and love it.
Thanks for the help. I think I will use my car (Garmin) NAV on a ram mount until I can decide what the final solution is going to be. As for the satellite radio I have the unit listed above as a spare. Were did you locate the antenna?
