Installedsmoked tail lend with red LEDyesterday which I bought off E-Bay. After install noticed that the LED hardly emits any more light when brake applied than under normal running mode. According to the seller this a common issue and many people buy the LED instead of the Red Bulb because they like the look of the LED lighting up. Personally don't think its safe because sitting in a car behind the bike I found that I needed to really do a double take in order to see if the brake light is on, it so minimally noticeable that it should not be permissable for safety reasons. Vendor was kind enough to send me a regular Red Bulb as well because he sees my point. Its nice to know that there are accomodating vendors selling good quality aftermarket products that you just can't get from HD. If you are considering this mod, take my advice and go with the red bulb.
