Default Another AMP question

Ok i am about to install a Pyramid PB70 amp i picked up for next to nothing. My question is can it be done. How do i hook up RCA connectors when the stock head unit has none. I also have Polk db521 to go with the amp. So basically i was wondering what i needed and how to hookit up??

Im no expert but I dont think that amp will work, you need and amp with high level inputs.... RCA's are for low level but i could be wrong.

go to Radio Shack of AutoZone or a place like them and get a line level converter. It converts the left and right speaker leads to a set of RCA's. The one I used back in the day was by American International. Crutchfield has one for $19.99 made by Scoche.

Your amp does have hi level inputs. so you have to run the front speaker wires to it first then out to the speakers. You will have to run a power wire and a ground to the amp. I could not see if the amp has a 12 volt turn on circuit since I do not have the manual and the one at Pyramid does not show it.

If it does not then you will have to power it off a circuit like the radio so that it will not come on until the radio does.

Or you can get a hi to low level converter if you want to use the RCA inputs

thanks jahays do you have a pyramid amp, you seem to have alot of helpfull tips. I didnt know if i needed a converter or not or if i could just wire y speaker wire right to the amp. I will be getting the amp tommorrow so i will know more then how to power it if i have to run a direct line or splice in to somewhere else. Thought about using my AUX switch it goes to nothing now
