POWER!?
Like others I have bought a Garmin Zumo for my new 2008 FLHTC.
While searching for a power source and reading countless posts on this forumn, I began my search to find where I would connect my Zumo.
If you turn the bars all the way to the right and peer under the LEFT side of the faring, attached to theneck and very close to the main harness you will find a 2-wire plug that has been capped. It has power when in the ACC position and dead when not. Does ANYONE know what this is used for? Maybe an ULTRA connection? CB? What? It appears to me that this would be an excellant place tohard wiremy ZUMO and wouldn't require the removal of my faring or routing under the seat.
Please help!
Thanks,
Brin Sr.

It's one of my considerations, however I've herd there is another pair of unsued wires under the hood that's not used in the states. This connection I'm talking about is located in a place where I don't even have to remove the faring. I just want to know what it's there for. I'd hate to cut off that connector and need it later. For whatever reason. Starting to wonder if this is just on the 2008 models.
Don't know what the connector you're talkin' about is, but the other one you mentioned is a running/parking light circuit that pulls out of the headlight harness. It's hot whenever the ignition is on, & cold when the ignition is off. Two wires, one hot, one ground. I have my Zumo wired there. Zumo comes on when the ignition is turned on, & goes to battery when the ignition is turned off. It will time out in about 30 seconds unless you tell it to continue on battery, or tell it to turn off immediately.
