Default 21 inch wheels

What is the purpose of lowering the front end on a SG 1 inch if you put 21 inch wheels on it?

Because the overall diameter of the 21 in wheel is a bit larger than the 16. When lowering the front it will bring it back to factory specs for the most part.

you lower it so they don't look like a damn tricycle, that 21 pops the front way up there.

I wonder if I parked my "damn tricycle" next to you if you could see if I lowered it 1inch? Doubt it

The 21" wheel is 2.5" taller than the stock tire and that is 1.25" at the axle. Lowering it 1" gets it real close to stock height. If you do not it raises the center of gravity and that affects handaling, and the angle of the fairing as well as the way the fairing sits in relation to the rider. All of this made my decision to drop it back down. Some will say it is fine and affects nothing but for me I have been known to go well over 100mph and I want my bike to handle properly. Each must decide for there self, but If you do it yourself it will cost you less than $100.

There not reason to lower the front need it's just people perference. If you would do a poll more people don't lower the front end that has a 21. Now for the pro'sdo I havemy front end lower?
