Cycle Shack slip ons sound???
I just bit the bullet and ordered a set of Cycle Shack slip ons for my '96 RK while it was in for it's spring service. I just picked it up in January, finally managed to sell my FXDl a couple weeks ago. The RK has had some nice engine mods, including Wiseco forged pistons and rings, new roller rockers, pushrods and lifters, true dual conversion with newer FLHR big tubes,screaming eagle stage 1 kit and a t.p. engineering high flow oil pump. Problem is the stock bigtubes are just too quiet, makes it sound like a Honda compared to the 2-into-1 Samson caliber on my FXDL. Without breaking the bank, I opted for something in the $250-300 range. I've heard really good reviews about the Cycle Shacks (for the most part), but I'm nervous about them being too damn loud. I really wanted the deeprumbleand didn't want something obnoxious thatwas gonna wake the neighbors leaving the house at 6am.I'm hoping I didn't make a mistake, it sounds like Khrome Werks may have the sound I was going for. Don't know if it matters, but I opted for the slash down tips (originally was gonna get the straight bazooka tubes). Any experiencewith CS slip ons would be appreciated.
