I know this has been answered but can't seem to find it. Does the stealth rack replace the rear backrest when the pillion is off?
I seen a rack that went where the back seat goes on a soloed out bike and wondered if it used the quick release brackets to mount and if it was the stealth?
The Stealth Rack replaces the rear grab bar. Has nothing to do with anything else. You can use a backrest or Tour Pak with it. There is a different rack that is a solo detachable. Part number 53048-06.
I was thinking about going with the Stealth rack... it sure is sweet looking.... but I would also have to change my rear turn signals and license plate. Still not quite sure yet.
I have it on my SG, it looks cool but is far from functional IMHO. If I had to do it over, and I prob will, I will would go with the one that attachs to the removeable backrest.
