Default Which luggage rack should I get?

Greetings,
I want to get a new luggage rack for my 08 streetglide and don't konw if I should get the rack that attaches to the sissy bar (53011-98) or the 2 up luggage rack (53743-97) which requires the docking hardware. I already have the hardware but have not installed it yet. What are your thoughts?

haha I have been looking at luggage racks myself but am so confused by the differences of them all. The descriptions are often lacking clarity on the HD site. Does it include this or that? Is that one for the solo or 2 up? What if I already have the quick detachable backrest etc..

Good luck! I'll poach off your answers!

I have the quick detach passanger backrest and quick detach
luggage rack.........
The luggage rack attaches to the backrest.........so I can use the backrest
alone or with the luggage rack, but CAN NOT use the luggage rack WITH OUT
the backrest.

I've prolly made this more confusing than needs to be......

08 sg. I have the stealth rack. Here is a pick of mine with the stealth rack right beside another 08 sg without. I have used the stealth rack on two 2000+ miles rides. It worked fine for me. I did have the backrest on while traveling, one trip was two up, one was solo.

Haha...I like the pic of the two SG's with and without the stealth rack - like two sisters!

I got my '08 used with a 4 point docking system but without a stealth rack. The stealth rack was the first thing I added! (I really didnt like the stock crossbar coming fresh off an '09)

Part #: 53938-04 Stealth Luggage Rack Kit

Second thing I added (no regular passenger here):

52935-04 Detachable Passenger Sissy Bar Upright - Short
52697-04 Backrest Pad with styled chrome bracket

Works great for Kury Gran Tour bag, and has a low profile which (I think) looks cool and not too close to an Ultra style look...

I have luggage rack 53011-98 that is attatched to standard height sissy bar. I went this way as i thought it looked cleaner when riding solo using just rider back rest. As far as the rack/passenger back rest when riding two up... Havent really had any issues. I store it upside down using the cams and a wood dowel under a cabinet in the shop.

Yes. My backrest and luggage rack are both detachable and dock separately but you must have the 4 point docking hardware.
