I have a bud whois hell bent on getting a black SG. Don't know if he's considering ABS or not.
He's wondering whatOTD prices folks are seeing/getting. So I told him I'd check with the Forum as it's the most honest and best source I could think of.
He's in N. VA so if there are any of you from VA your input would be of value to him (realizing the differences from state to state).
I don't own a SG. But I can tell you, it is the hottest selling bike HD has right now. That being said, most dealers in my area (KC) are getting above and beyond retail, and selling them as fast as they order them too. A friend of mine bought 2 last October, one for him, the other for his wife. They cut him a "deal", didn't charge shipping or set-up, but was retail on both units all the way.
Not a dime more than retail. There are still dealers out there that think this is 1995 and want to price gouge when the truth is prices and sales are down and most dealerships are willing to do some pretty good deals. If the one near you is not, just look around a little and be willing to travel 500 miles or so to save some money.
That being said, retail on a Vivid Black FLHX is 18,675. Add 795 for ABS, 245 if it has cruise, 345 if it has a security system, and 345 for freight. Dealers around here will probably deal some from that.
