From myself and my brother Federal LEO's of Illinois, we send our most and deepest wishes and prayers to those andthe families of ALL involved. We have enough to deal with on a daily basis to contend with at our work mush less haveing to deal with something like this on our down and R&R time as well!!!!

My prayers are withRay and his family. I hope he pulls through with a full recovery. It is heart wrenching whenever we have a brother go down cause it could have been us!
That being said...another example of whyYOU should wear a DOT helmet. If he was wearing a real helmet he would have probably been okay. No matter how experienced of a rider YOU are there are times when we aren't paying attention to the road and things can happen. I'm not perfect and this could have happened to me and if it did I want a second chance.
Also- I don't have ABS on my '06, but wish like heck that I did. Sounds like if he had ABS he might have been able to avoid going down in the first place. So for those of you who are buying a new scoot...Spend the extra money for the ABS option!
