Default Need help with New Barnett cabling

Hi all, I am coming down the home stretch with my winter mods. Mainly new Wild1 502's
Well I have all the new cables installed, clutch cable was pretty straight forwardbut i forget how the Idle and throttle cabesare supposed to flow down to the throttle device under the tank.
Now I must clarify that I have a 03Road KingClassic. I would like to knowhow other RKC riders have these cables run? to they go into the headlight necel or behind it.
I have a bad feeling that my cables are too long I got +6 on the cables.

Thankseveryone and look forward to your input

Anybody... anybody........ Beuler...........Beuler...........

I am really struggling [sm=bangbang.gif]to get these cables installed in a way that they don't bind... I have run them about 3 different ways and each way they end up having too much of a bend at some point. Are there any other RKC riders with apes on there bikes (Wild1 502's specifically) that could either explain how they ran the cables (idle and throttle) or pics would be even better.

I was really hoping [sm=smiley13.gif]to get my first ride in for the season tomorrow.

Thanks all

Harpoon, I just installed new cables tonight on my RKC. The two cables go through the clamp on the neck and back under the tank through another clamp. After they pass through the under tank clamp they should bend downward to the injection module. The throttle is the one on the outside and the idle is on the inside. I borrowed this pictire form a thread by thebestofindica.

When I swapped mine out I had trouble getting the throttle to return due to the binding of the cable. To fix it I went into the nacelle where they make turn back towards the tank and used a zap strap to hold them in a wider loop to eliminate any binding, and then set the adjusters up near the throttle 'til I was happy with their function. The zap strap secured the cables to some of the wiring inside the nacelle.

Oh one last thing Mine are 502's also. What size of Clutch Cable did you go with??
I did the +6" on everything and my clutch cable ended up being to short. Right handed turns did it in. It lasted about one season but to many right handed turns ended up streching the cable and then fraing it tothe point of not letting the clutch disingage. So I ended up going to +8" and all is good now. Good luck.............

I know I have +6 on thethrottle and idle looking for my receipt to see what the clutch cable is. So are you putting down through the right side of the necell then looping inside to under the tank? I have tried this several ways and I seem to have too much cable and can find away to loop with out the throttle binding on me.. Would or could anyone have to take any pics for a visual? I honestly think these cables are just too long but if you said you did it then it must be able to be done...

Thanks everyone..

04 Roadking thanks so much for taking the time to taking these pics for me. ya a little hard to focus in on but I think I get the jist of what you did. So the throttle and idle to into the necel but from the back of the bars and it looks like the brake line doesn't go into the necel at all?
And there do I get one of those clamps..

Sorry it took so long to respond I had to go to "baseball field cleanup" with my son.

You're the best
