can you adjust the direction of the back wheel on the 08 SGs. dealer is teeling me that the back wheel can only be secured straight with the new offset cams. he cant get the bike to go straight after a frame change due to an accident. i recomented to adjust the back wheel 3-5 degrees to the left and he said its not possible with the new offset cams on the back.
If he can't adjust it, then it would seem the frame is defective since it won't allow proper operation. Sounds ta me like a defective part which'll have to be replaced at their expense....
Elaborate a bit on "can't get it to go straight" please. Is the bike veering off the road? Pulling? There is a procedure for alignment that the techs need to follow at least as a minimum, then there is the possibility the FRONT wheel is not aligned. Are the wheels themselves true to each other? Rear swing arm tweaked?WTF?[&:]
Very good point here. If you have an insurance claim, let you agent do their work and represent your case. You're bike should be returned to you exactly how it was prior to the accident; no excuses. Good luck!

So whos footing that bill?
Insurance?
Dont let them give you a bike back without it tracking straight.
Keep in touch with your agent if their paying for it.
In fact I'd call him/her anyway and let em know how it's going to just so their not lost on the story. If thats the situation.
