Personally, they do nothing for me at all & I'd never buy one of the denim-finish bikes. But that's just me. Beauty's in the eye of the beholder.

The new denim 2010 SE Fat Bob is (IMO) a great looking bike, especially in the tan color combo with the brown leather seat!

i was at the dealer tonight looked at a 2010 black denim sg looked good really makes you think do i want it or not

I just bought a pewter denim 09 SG from a guy with a good deal of adds. It wasn't my first choice of color but I really like it now. And it looks great with chrome or black and they mix well with the denim finish. It's different and offers some flexibility and when you get tried of it you can always paint it like I will eventually do after it gets scratched up a bit (thats the biggest issue) I can't wait to take delivery. 2 weeks from now and I'm counting down everyday.

The black denim looks (to me) what a harley is supposed to look like. Black and dirty with really shiny chrome.

I've never been attracted to black bikes, but when I saw the 2010 black denim Road Glide Custom, all of a sudden a black bike looked just right to me. While considering buying it, reading this thread educated me on the viability of the denim finish, so I went ahead and pulled the trigger and so glad I did. Great looking finish! I think the denim looks great in pretty much any color I've seen it in... pewter, black, Red Hot Sunglo... I'd take any one of those denim colors and love it... especially black and RHS.

I have a pewter denim paint set on my 03. I had vivid black on my last bike and it was a pain to keep clean. this paint is by far the easiest paint to care for. A little windex and it's done. Dust does not show at all. I like the red also.

My first though was that they must have forgot to spray the tins with clear coat and decided to go with it

It has grown on me a bit and the bikes look great but I still prefer shiny paint on my bike.
