Can anyone tell me what mufflers are on my bike? Dealer said
Screaming Eagle but I can't find them listed on the net. Bike is
an 05 that was built before the engine blew. It has a Screaming
Eagle 6-speed, hydralic clutch and Screaming Eagle intake tin from the built engine. I'd love to know if they are in fact, Screaming Eagle or a stock muffler I just can't find in any pic or
HD catalog on the net.
Thanks in advance.

RE: Muffler question
just check the part number stamped onto the pipe near the frt clamp..they may be performance touring mufflers..same guts as s.e but without logo..chk number with one of the on line stores like chicago h/d
All the "Stock" pipe pics I found, even on the 05 HD site have
a straight cut. These are cut on an angle, shorter on the top
to longer bottoms by about an inch. Leavse a place for water
to accumilate and causes rust. I sanded out all the rust and
painted them with flat black header paint so they look better
now. They do not have a Screaming Eagle lable on them and
you may very well be right about that. If they are stock, it was
a dumb idea to cut them this way.
Thanks,
Looks like a pair of slash-up screaming eagles. Look in the muffler with a flashlight, if you can see through them they are competition screaming eagles. They are not in production any longer. See them for sale on e-bay now and then.

Nope, they ain't open. Left one is almost blocked off, the right
one fairly open. HD number is 65354-07. I'll see what I can find
out about that number. They are up-slashed though. Couldn't
remember the name of the cut before.
Thanks,
The pipes are referred to as "slash-up or Slash down" they look like stock mufflers to me, the # stamped on them should help determine what you have...
