a little tip on getting stripped or rounded out screws out:
put a little dab offine valve lapping compound on the screw or torx fastner.
even if it is already rounded out, your phillips tipor torx tip will definatly grip
to the point, if it does'nt break it loose, it will break the tip off your screwdriver
or torx bit.
All of the Torx and Phillips heads that you can use on a rachet are designed to shear or break long before the screw should stip or break. Just ask your local Snap-on man. I have broken 3 phillips head drivers on one screw before it came loose one time, not on a motorcycle, on an airplane.
What is this stuff...never heard of it...where do you get it?

I was going to change fluids at 5000. Started on bolts for primary first before draining - bolts won't budge - using T27, seems like they're welded on. Guess I'll have the dealer do it. Close inspection of bolt heads has me questioning if primary oil was changed at 1000 mile checkup as bolts appear untouched.
If I switch current bolts to hex, what size what I get and where
They have this stuff out these days that you dab it on the screw or bolt head and it increases the bit grip by 400%. Mac tools sells it, so does Sears and I think Orchard Supply or any auto store may carry it by now. Stuff is awesome!!!!!!
if you have access to a friend with a 3/8 inch impact driver, the air type, and the t 27 torx bit, then it'll surely come loose. for bolts like that that are onry i refuse to use loctite, even the blue, but i use anti sneeze on the threads instead. that way i don't get pissed off the next time. some folks try the t 25 bit only to find out that they round out the head of the torx screw, then ya gotta drill the head off, etc. i assume you were referring to the five derby screws, or the primary to inner primary screws???
