ORIGINAL: FLHTPjeff Same bike I have! Sounds like you've put way more work into yours, mines still pretty much stock. Though I have to say that I wouldnt trade my "puck" bags for 10 pairs or regular ones I second that request for pics. Jeff
On my 95 cop bike I went to the local scrap yard and bought some aluminum bar stock a little large than the diameter of the pucks. Took the pucks off and gave it all to a friend who worked for Generous Motors. He turned the bar stock down and knerled the outer ring so I was able to keep the cop bags, and dress them up with polished aluminum pucks. We also cut up an old aluminum stop sign to make polished inserts where the police emblems go on the saddlebags.
Installed with two sided tape.
Nice work on the bike. Get used to the addiction. It goes something like this:
You keep tweaking things, you feel content, then you see something you like on another bike, maybe in a magazine or catalogue. It triggers ideas and your off to the races. Then, you'll take time to reflect, sit back, continually eyeing your bike with that artistic eye, just wondering what could be changed.
Then, when you think you are all customed out, you will find more things to teak.
So, you think your done, but you have not even moved to the motor yet!
