Default Hidden Antenna

Has anyone tried one of the hidden antennas on their bike? I know Dakota Digital makes one for inside or under the fairing, but I don't know how well they work. I'm tempted to just put a short antenna on the bike but my preference is to remove that hardware all together, just to clean things up.

I put a hidden antenna in the fairing. The reception is acceptable, but noticably less than when I had a shorty antenna on the back of the bike.

I just mounted one in my fairing and it sounded okay in the shop. When the bike is running the radio just sounds a bit different. I went for a ride yesterday and I was about 10 miles from city and I lost the signal. Not impressed.

Hidden antenna is definately not as good as stock whip, but the look is soo much better without the stocky... Just burn an MP3 cd and you can put like 200 songs on itor something like that.. MP3 cd's play on my 08, not sure about older models... I ditched my stock whip for the biketronics one. Works pretty good, but not as good... Good Luck!

I have tried a power one from the stealer,my parts guy swore buy it, $75 later I had some of the mostpi$$ poor reception, boy what a waste of money, i should have bought two bottles of jack instead.
the tune trapper was better but not worth the money or time to install either.
Just my .02 cents but what do i know, im a retard that likes to ride.

I and several others have this and have GAINED reception. Works great and cheap.
