150 miles on 4 gallons of 93 octane...Does that sound about right for for my setup?
'03 King, V&H 2-1, PC3, S/E AC @ 70-80mph, 3k-3.5k rpms, windshield and 250lbs
...just checking, thanks
My 03 King, V&H Ovals, Stage I, I got close to 48mpg. Those were the days. Low fuel light on at 176-178 miles, run to 200-210 and gas with a 1/2 gallon or so left.
Now, Ultra, 103 Stage II, I get about what you are. Low fuel at 146-148 and refuel at 165 or so.
07 Ultra stock was about 45mpg. Stage 1 kit and a dfo dropped it to about 33mpg. If I slow down, it goes up. If I speed up, mpg goes down. Tough call sometimes
WOW! I most be have something special! I'm running an 06 RKC (dyno'd) Stage1, AC, stock head pipes, fairing, dual conversion and Rinehart TD. I filled up when the light came on, got 250 miles (combined city/hwy 40/60 split) 4.5 gallons of fuel = 55.5MPG. If I stay in the city I get about 48 MPG.... Is it the engine mods you guys have made????
'07 Ultra, running PCIII, Stage I breather, Fulsac Duel conversion, Rush 2" mufflers. With the Fuel Moto loaded program I got around 35mpg, had my dealer lean it out a bit in the mid range from about 2K up to about 3.5K rpm, back up to around 37mpg. Always run premium fuel. Really is about the same it would do under stock conditions MPG wise, but runs much better. If I get 160-170 miles on a tank, I have done excellent. Mostly single riding, mixed highway/town riding. Would like to see 200 on a tank and have a little more power, but I don't think that'll ever happen.

Oh forgot, running premium fuel....
Ummmmm.... How are you running STOCK HEAD PIPESAND RINEHART TRUE DUELS???
I'd love to get that milage! My light comes on at 150 but I got a 6 gallon tank! Usually takes 5 gals for 150 miles, that's only 30 mpg.....
Dude, you've made my day! I get 33.5 mpg in stop-n-go traffic with a strong hand on the wick running oxygenated fuel cut with 15% EtOH.I need to go buy another box of donuts for my porter/builder!
Glad to see this thread. I've got a carburated '02 RK (Reinharts, K&N) which gets 35 mpg. I thought it was pretty lousy compared to guys with the EFI. My 1200 Sporty, which I do ride hard, consistently gets 50 mpg. So I feel a lot better about the RK after reading these responses.
I get 35 city to 45 highway with my 07 lowrider loaded. And 04 Road Glide I get 30 to 35 in the city. I have had out for any long rides. I keep having the dealer fix it Every other month. Had it since Oct. and put 7'000 mile on it in the winter weather. Warm weather is here now. Just get the rain maker to stop.
