I am starting to get the touring bike itch and am working on the wife to get her license so we can keep the fatboy and get another bike. I started looking around and came across this on e-bay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...43018&rd=1 It seems like tons o' dough for a 97-98 set up essentially, and would think that I could get an 08' SE Ultra with some personal mods for that amount and have some left over to fuel her up once or twice. Whaddya'll think? Appreciate any info y'all could share....Thanks in advance!!
put a program on your computer that shuts it off every time the word ebay comes up.
Take wife go to HD buy a new 07 or 08 touring bike and take a walk on the real wild side.
If you're seriously considerin' that, you have *two* problems! You should *never* "work" on someone to get a motorcycle license! Buy a second bike, keep the one you have & if your wife wants to ride it she'll get the license on her own. If she's not comfortable ridin' & you push her to get a license, how you gonna feel if she gets hurt?

$40K for a 10 yr old bike with a new engine and some paint,[sm=forgetit.gif] I'd rather get a boat!!! [sm=exactly.gif] She brought it up to me about taking the MSF course the other day, took me by surprise as she said it would be fun to both rent on our vaction and be able to take both our kids for rides. I said that would be wonderful, guess what I'm cooking up for a Mothers Day gift!! [sm=innoc.gif]
