I'm a bit paranoid about getting rear ended, especailly when pulling my black Bushtec at night.Saw aWing pulling a trailer that a couple were killed on when some idiot rear ended them at a stop. I opted to get the "Night rider" light from custom dynamics to use as both a running light and 3d brake light. in the running mode, it goes from side to side, but flashes REAL brightly for a while when hitting the brakes. You can wire it to use just as a brake light by not attaching the other wire to the tail light wire.
I'm considering adding the Hog lite to my Ultra, but the Custom Dynamic was the right size for use as a 3d brake light on my trailer.
