I put mine on a year ago and have about 8K on it and love it. I do not have the adjustable model, I adjusted mine once and and haven't needed to change it since

I have the HD adjustable gas back rest. although it take some room away from the passanger. But the back likes it and thats what counts. It stays on all the time.
Just my 2 cents
