Do you have 50 bucks? You can getthe "chrome roadking high handlebar part number 55954-00. 4.5" higher and 2" narrower than stock. They worked out great for me and you don't have to change out the cables. I'm 5'8" so I'm atad short.
here is apic of the stock 08 RK/RKC bars and the RK high bars next to each other.
Obviously they changed the bars on the 08's, cause they're only maybe 2" higher, a bit narrower and a bit more pull-back. But I agree, they are the ticket!
RK IVAN I PM'd you a link to my RK high bar swap, if you haven't already got it.
First thing I did 6 years ago was to change the handlebars, couldn't stand the stock bars. I went to Flanders bars which come up and back, much more comfortable, for me. See pics.
They make a set of bars for the police special for the '08 RKC - mine are due to be installed today. They are suppose to be 2" longer than the stock bars and suppose to be a lot more comfortable. The cost is approx. $70; I'll let you know how they work out.
Thanx guys, nice pics, I will check on the RK High bars, Flanders and Wild1 are nice but $$ for handlebars, I'd rather spend on new shocks or Cams later.

You might want to look at some Heritage Classic bars as well. Not too expensive and a comfortable fit.

Do you have a part# for the police special bars? I have been going through the same thoughts, would like to have part # as it is always easier dealing with service when you know what you want.
