Default lanale fan

i posted this in engine forum, but wanted to get you guys take.

All,

i was wondering about the lanale engine fan. I mounted as instructed(stock horn location) and I have access to engine temp thru my zipper's speedo.
it sure appeared to change the engine temp in heavy traffic situation. However, I don't see the same cooling effect on engine oil temp. I see my oil temp from a oil dip stick tempo.

My question is since the fan is blowing air at 9600 rmp between the jugs, am i really just cooling off the temp sensor?

2007 RK 103, tw6 woods cam, thundermax, riehart TD, 3.6" KN high flow, jagg 10 row oil cooler.

Great question.

side note:
I had the Lanale electric oil cooler on my 07 Heritage. Pricey but saved my ride a few times at multiple bike weeks. As soon as I can scrape up some cheese I will get one for tne 08 SG.

YES, 99% sure he does butI have not seen an ebay auction lately. I bought mine by calling him.
If you go on EBAY, find the auction for LaNale electrin fan,you can send Mr LaNale a question on how you can buya HD electric oil cooler from him.He may even give you his phone number.
Basically it is a HD preium oil cooler w/ thermostat and LaNale mounts another chrome shield that holds 2 fans to blow air across the fins.He supplies a switch or you can buy a HD aux swtich.Expensive but a realnice quality piece, at least the one I bought last year was.

It got my oil temps down to around215-220 from 230-245. No fans.
At last years local bike week, stuck in trafficfor an hour, and when we finally parkedmy oil temp was 245,250 at mostand my budies 06 88 (cu in) Deluxe was at 265,270. We both had analog temp gauges. He claims his shut down as soon as he rolled up in his spot.

If you have Rineharts with a TMAX 02 cell the o2 ceel may hit the cooler. Any HD cooler that is. Other than that its pretty straght froward to install.

If I hadthe $$$$to blowone would be on order right now - but I just bought pipe , RT , A/C..

Here is a fan auction so you can ask LaNale about the Electric Oil Cooler....

Actually here is a picture from the auction, both the horn fan and the oil cooler on the down tube.
