Had the same problem - high idle - over 1800 rpm. The "4 on" sequence works. Reset. Bike now idles at 1000 rpm. And yes, these FI bikes don't need any throttle to start. Keeping my hand off it after 20 years of starting a Shovelhead is hard!

Just another reason not to buy the greatest and latest thing on the market. Give it a year or two to work the bugs out.
I had a Buell Cyclone, first year of it. Think it was 97, and I had 11 recalls. Everything fromfront floating discto kickstand killswitch!
yep, it takes at least a couple of years to learn how to start a bike properly.
