Im new to the SG... Question is... I had the true duals ,big air and re-mapped.. Is the Idle supposed to be at the 10 mark? It just seems a little high. Can you adjust the idle on the 2008 Street glide?
You need the oil flow to the heads. All the TC's are around there. 1050 to 1150. It doesn't matter if it's a 88, 88B, 96, EFI, or Carb job.
If you bring it down with a SERT or something else, you can go down as low as 950/975. Any lower and you'll starve the heads. Cook the top end and possibly hurt the cam chain tensioners.
It's flow your looking for not pressure at idle. You'll only get it to sound like an old shovel or Evo if you change the cams. It just the design.
Mines right at or a tad higher than 1050. I actually would not mind it a bit higher - SERT cables are on the way from Zanotti's so I might bump it up a few when they arrive.
