Eddie - I have to agree with reksul...your not lookin too good. A few mental health days will clear that right up and put you back on the straight and narrow. As for your bike, I agree with everything said so far BUT...my dealer told me on my last bike that the 1k was a very important service so don't delay too long. On my previous bike, I went to about 1300 before I could get it in for the service. Now, stop worrying about all of this, take a couple of days off, get out there and ride some more, and report back to us at the end of the week. I'll send you a bill in the mail.....

You don't look so good.. you may have a bad case of the flu. Better take some time off.

I wish I could but I just got back from over a week off to go on a cruise which is part of the reason the miles arent on the bike. Missed 2 weekends of riding.

if I could ride every day I could do it. Commuting to work is impossible as I am a suit. Weather is iffy this month. If I try I am sure I can just wanted to getsome advise in case I cant. II am leaving June 6 so I have to get the bike in that week. 5 weekends I should be able to get there.
5 weekends. 10 days. You need about 600 miles. At 50 mph average that's two 6 hour days. Saturday morning leave the house at 10:00 am, ride 150 miles, return home, it'll be about 6:00 pm. Repeat on one of the 4 remaining Saturdays or 5 remaining Sundays. It's a smaller average than the 1000 in three days you're planning. Only problem I see is stayin' off the bike the other available days..............<shrug>

I am not knocking anybody but it just comes down to priority's.
I ride every where I go rain or shine.
I don't like a cage and I love riding motorcycles so its no big deal.
Just to church I ride over 360 miles the church I attend is 90 miles away twice a week.
In three years never missed a service yet.
My wife and I take all vacations on the bike that is the only way a far as I am concerned.
If you want to ride you will find a way.
If you don't you will find excuses.
This post is not aimed at anyone just my feelings.

I rode 540 miles round-trip on Saturday just to go to a race. Come on, man, get out there, get a few hundred on her and get her serviced.

I rode my 07 Ultra 1700 miles in the 1st 3 days I owned it, making me 700 miles late for my 1st service. I now have over 12K miles with no problems. With that said, 5 week ends is enough to rack up miles and get your 1st service before you make the trip. Saturday morning get on the nearest Interstate, pick a direction and ride for 2 hours, grab a bite, top off the tank, go home, and you have rounded up 300 miles.Repeat on Sunday (go the other way) and schedule your service.

I understand eddie, it took me 5 days to put 1300 miles on mine when I picked it up. First bike I've had in 30 years. Seriously though,Have you thought about putting on a pair of coveralls on? Then when you get to the office, just slip them off and you are good to go. I carry a pair in my car/truck just in case I run into a dirty job, so I don't get my clothes dirty. In the summer months, get a thinner pair if the heat gets to you.
