With gas prices approaching unheard of levels and the requirement
of using 91 Octane fuel would it make sense to buy the cheap gas
and add an octane booster?
I just filled up here today (Western Canada). Imperial gallon gas was 6 bucks, 5 bucks for US gallon
(thats 1.419 per LITRE and 5.37USD gallon or 6.44 Cdn Imperial gallon) Cdn dollar basically at par.
I know running with lower octane could/will cause long term problems (the occasional tank is ok)
but would the booster work?
Yep, 20 cents more per gallon. 1 dollar more per tank, I am will just keep using the premium and think about how much I am saving in fuel by not driving the F350. F700. or F250
