A friend of mine owns a high end detailing shop, he recommended a dusting brush. One of those on a handle (looks like a blending of asnow brush and a huge toothbrush). Whenever I get home I just run the brush over the bike and it looks just like showroom condition because the dust comes right off instantly and it gets into all the nooks and crannies like between the inside edge of the lids on the bags and the seat. Every couple of weeks use a microfiber cloth and Mothers detailing spray, takes all of 5 minutes to go over entire bike. The dusting brush never needs to be cleaned as it works better the dirtier it gets.
Steel wool and comet! LMAO
The best I've found and it comes highly recommended from show car buddies is Wizards Mist 'n Shine. Cleans up the paint, chrome and plastics (not windshield). Takes bugs off and shines in one step. Great for in between waxings. I'll use Zymol CleanerWax to get rid of scratches. Then a wax of yourchoice after that.
A duster and about any quick mist detailer will make fast work of it. Use a good microfiber cloth, one wet with detailer and one for drying. Works well for me.
I have a vivid black flht and I use gold class wash by Maguires, wax with Maguires cleaner/wax and cheese cloth. She shines like a new one. If you have problems with "spider webbing" try the Maguires scratch x. I've used they're products for 15 yrs and have always been more than satisfied with the results.
