94 Roadking laydown license PLT mod ?????
Hi Guy's and Gal's,
I have a 94 RK and it has the "billboard " type license plt bracket. I bought a used bracket off ebay that was supposed to fit my bike because it fit a 96, well the welded nuts are in the wrong position, it could be messed with but the biggest problem is getting to the nut that goes on the fender bolt. My tire is so tight that I can't get a wrench in there and if I did get it off I would never get it started to put it back on. I know they make a bar and bracket combo but my problem is a reads below.
So here is my question, has anyone ever modded the bracket that is on there? I have been looking at this thing and I am sure I could cut it in place and leave the lower section and bend it to the proper angle, but I am concerned about cutting thru the chrome and what will happen to it later ie: rain and rust..
I'm looking for ideas and opinions...
