Default RE: Shock absorber air pump

I just bought one and the 1st thing I had to do was throw the gauge away and modify the thing to accept a 0-30psi gauge. 1 bar = 14.5 psi. I saved some bucks but spent a bit more on the conversion. Be careful, don't blow your shocks.

I hope you didn't try it out on anything important. If you thought you were putting 10 PSI in something, you could now have 145PSI there!!!

I'm beginning to feel a bit St0oPiD.

Just got a new pump in the mail today. Found it through an old post here and wanted to express my great pleasure. Here's the piece:

http://www.pricepoint.com/detail/162...Shock-Pump.htm

Not only is it priced incredibly right, but... the gauge is graduated to 35 lbs. That means that you aren't using a 60 lb. gauge to calibrate only 5-20 lbs of air so it is more accurate. It has a no loss/low loss connection and a bleed off button. And finally, it can be used w/out removing the saddle bag. My only complaint is that the pump capacity is a bit small, so it takes more pumps to get up from zero. Small price to pay for an otherwise GREAT product.

You can keep your 'spensive Harley B. Davidson pumps. My money spends better on beer!
I have this pump and I use this pump. It works flawlessly. My 50 year old eyes can read the gage. 5 or 6 pumps and the shocks are done. Bleed button if you over-fill. Pricepoint is easy to deal with.

Never tried it on a low tire but it's the only air pump in by bags and there is no reason it wouldn't work well in a pinch.
