I wouldn't use an air compressor...unless you had means to filter out the moisture that accumulates in the tank.
If moisture were a real issue, paint sprayers would not be very effective.
Technically, you should empty your tank after each use with the relief valve on the bottom to ensure no moisture build-up. That will keep your tank from rusting.

I have mine set at 120psig shooting through a 1/16 inch nozzle. Even if moisture were present, it would be atomized to the point of being a non-issue.

You are using it to dry a bike, not custom airbrush work.
Hey Chief...if you're draining the tank after every use...obviously moisture is accumilating in the tank or nothing would drain out, right? I may only get an ounce of liquid out of my tank after usage, but it has a reddish tint to it. Regardless of how fine it's atomized...it's still going on the bike. And anyone who paints with an air compressor uses filters to filter out moisture. They're not cheap.
We are talking about blowing off water right? I use an air compressor to blow off the water where it accumulates like around the plugs and primary bolts etc I don't blow dry the bike. I use a towel and then I ride it and then maybe I'll wipe it again. With how fast these things dust up and along with getting caught in the rain it does not make that much sense to spend a lot of time washing it. Heck if you are riding it who really can see if it is clean or not? Do we really need to argue about atomization?? I am only wasting time in this thread because I can't ride my bike do to a surgery on my foot. Otherwise I'd be riding not BLOWING my bike. JM02

That was pretty much my point the whole time. I think it is silly to spend $300 for something with that limited of a use.

I blow out the fins and the places where water accumulates. (inside the floor boards etc) I take very good care of my Shovel. I ride the hell outta it (20k per year), but it looks like it is a trailer queen.

It is raining like mad here. Which is actually a good thing. I had PRK two days ago and can barely see, so I cannot ride anyway. If it were nice and sunny, I would really be stir-crazy
