I like mine. I was told that there be a noticeable increase in performance. It feels like it, but the dyno charts don't show it. I'll have it done again some time. They started out sounding pretty loud, but after about 1800 miles they seem to be mellowing. They have a very nice tone that most folks seem to like. A bonus of the installation is that the pipes curve lower on the bike so they aren't up against you legs. Cooler.
I like mine OK but I just can't get past the look of it. I'm seriously considering going back to slip-ons. Performance-wise it's great, sound is OK, maybe a little loud for my taste, fit and finish is excellent.
I have V&H 2 into 1 and love them. The sound is great and with the addition of a big sucker air cleaner and a PCIII fuel management system it really runs great. I think the looks are also great!!
I had the pro-pipe on my 03 Ultra and it way good. Nice power band, maybe a little loud. On my 08 Ultra I put a Fat-Cat quiet baffle on it and that is a much better set up for me. Although I liked the pro-pipe if I had to buy another 2 into 1 it would be the Fat-Cat with the quiet baffle. Good luck
Having had several 2into1's on my personal rides, including ProPipe(s), WhiteBros E-Series, ThunderHeader, FatCat(s), BoarZilla, I would say the the FatCat has been the best for me... multiple times, in fact...
Thanks for the advice, guys...I love the quality of Vance and Hines. I started with Ovals slipons, loved the looks and sound but they didn'tbark enough. Got the thunderheaders, and those solved the bark problem...quality isn't as nice. They do pop some in between gears and on rolloff (which bugs me a LOT, the Ovals didn't) but from what my friends who run TH say that's a trait of them. What gets me the most is with the stock headpipes, theymake the right muffler do all the work with the left side not flowing much at all...I know true duals would solve this, but I'm a big time torque fan, and I know TD cause a loss...so despite the odd look, a 2:1 is starting to make sense to me...and if the Pro Pipe is loud, that makes it even more tempting
