Default Riding in the snow?

I am supposed to take my bike in for it's 1000 mile service this morning. It just started snowing an hour ago. The roads are just starting to get wet. It's not really that cold and the roads are not icey. My shop is only4 miles away. I hate riding in rain but have never rode with a little snow falling. Should I chance it trying to ride there?

If it is above freezing, it should be no different than riding in the rain. Bike is going to get dirty though. I would take it in, but be careful.

You make the choice.

Snow isn't panful like rain right? Hmmmm. the snow is starting to drop a little more. If it goes back to a light snow I might try it.

Does your shop offer a pickup service? Mine will come out with a covered trailer to pick my bike for service if for some reason I can't ride it in (at not cost to me). I've never had to use it yet, but might be an option.

I'm going to call and find out. They open in 20 minutes. I use a small local motorcycle chop. I won't use my Stealership. The dealer wants over $300 with oils for a 1000 mile service. My small shop charges $150.

Just called my shop and they said not to ride in. Not because of the weather but because he said everyone on the road is driving like idiots around there. He said the traffic is bad. Bummer. He said just bring it in next week. Oh well.
