Default Did I Remove Too Much?

My outer faring is due at the painters tomorrow. After reading the service manual and getting some help from forum members, I figured it should be an easy job to remove the fairing, and things were going great, until that is the last step when I had to disconnect the headlight. What I didn't factor in was that I had the HD HID installed by the dealer before I took delivery of the bike. After following the service manual directions, I couldn't find the connector to disconnect the headlight. After puzzling over this for a while, I pulled out the directions for installing the HID. I ended up removing the headlight so I could find the connectors for the two bulbs. Does anyone know a better or easier way to do this?

Does the hid set-up plug into the normal socket or is it a complete rewire for the HID light. My dual beam just plugged in a worked great. I love that light

The Harley HID has an extra wiring harness to connect the HID bulb to the ballast. The high beam uses the stock headlight wire.
