headlight bulb upgrade

I have the service manual for my bike but not the parts manual. I want to upgrade my headlight bulb and am thinking I remember the Sylvania Silverstar number to be H4ST. Is that the correct number?

Yes, it is the correct number. Put oneon my bike and it made a difference over the stock bulb.

Me too, and its much better.
Just be careful pulling the old one out. The electrical connector plug on the back of the bulb was really tight

I was about to get the Sylvania, but gotthe PIAA instead. Bright and white compared to the poor lame yellow stock.

I put in a 100/80 watt from NAPA. It is the brightest I have found. Great!!

I don't know, but if you can figure out exact what the industry standard bulb number is it shouldn't take more than a minute or two to look it up on Sylvania's web site. Once you know if they do or not go to theAutoZone or Advanced Auto web sites and look it up there. They carry the entire line between themso if they are made one of them should carry it .

I would be VERY Careful of that, bulbs with that much wattage can get way too hot and damage the wire connectors as well as warp thereflector inside the headlight housing.
