I've finally decided to step up to the plate....I'm selling the Superglide and buying a touring bike. The only problem is: i cant decide on a road king or a street glide. Both are great bikes but i'd like some input/feedback from you guys before i make the decision. Thanks y'all!
i looked at both bikes myself for a long time and finally decided to go with the streetglide mainly for the fairing and the radio and i think its the best looking bike hd makes
I got the SG because I wanted the fairing and radio - if those are not important to you, then maybe the Road King is the way to go. Try to ride both and then choose wisely.
You want a touring bike. Does that mean a lot of miles, two up, loaded down for the trip. You answer yes, then you might as well get the Ultra now, because that is where you are going to end up anyway.

I bought the Ultra Classic due to its beauty, ability to travel super long distances in comfort and and great storage features. You also have the ability to remove, change items when not needed. Once you hear your favorite music while riding you wont want to stop. Also, the lower fairings are great when needed!
Now my life started a new chapter. My Ultra is for sale on this site if you are interested. Its a 2003 Anniversary Ultra Clasic. Good luck with your decision!
Narrowed my choices down to the same two bikes in Feb and bought the Street Glide, mainly for the fairing, gauges, radio, seating position. It's a very personal decision though. Ride them both - don't simply go by what you read here. I test rode each of them back-to-back, same day, same weather, same roads. No better way to compare!
