how did you fix it so it didn't swivel? mine dumped a whole cup of coffee on me the one time I tried. I talked to the mfg they are coming out with a non swivel model this year. I also had a homemade holder that was made from a clamp, a3 inch Id to 3 inch OD exhaust pipe adapter with a bottom welded in the small end that worked great. was ugly but worked great for the less than $5.00 I had in it.
I always have my 20 oz mug on the way to work. And crave it when I take the scoot. The only solution I have come up with is to drink it before I leave. Too many idiots and bumps in the roads for me to worry about drinking and spilling a hot cup of coffee on me while riding.
Guys, the cupholder from leader products (same supppier as desert dawgs) hs a chrome one that I use on the Mistress. Works great, I have 2 cups, one for coffee/tea in the morning, and another I bought at Walmart with a built in straw that I fill with ice, it melts during the day, and I'm never dying of thirst. Check them out.
About $5 at Walmart. Works great and I don't have to worry about spilling it all over the bike if I have to make a sudden lane change or avoid a morning deer.
Put on of these in your leather pouch in front of the saddlebag. It will keep things hot or cold for quite a long time. Walgreens has them for about $17
