70 and up here, the bike really wants to run best at 2500 rpm any gear. I find i have to run 4th more than i want ,but, it really comes alive, smooth at 2500 rpm.
+1....I downshift between 65-70. I pull a big hill everyday sometimes I don't get into 6th because it does not like pulling the hill until I'm over 75.
2000 rpm in sixth at 60 mph is when I don't expect to accelerate much, but 65 and up it acelerates just fine. Uphill against a strong headwind, I use fifth. 75 is the sweet spot for smooth, 70 for gas mileage.
I feel ya, bike seems to be bogging in 6th gear
Thought I needed more speed, but even at 80 still feels boggy
My thought is that my bike is new, just over 1,000 miles, so I am hopeing it will wake up
