Default Detachable Locking Hardware Help

I've got the locking detachable Latch Kit for my tour packs quick disco setup... Installed the lock today and there is no way to get the key in to unlock it!!! The barrel part points straight up and there is not enough room to get the key in to unlock it... Anyone else run into this problem??? According to the HD site this kit work with all detach hardware except for windshields... Looking at the destructions after I noticed that I can't unlock it my detach kits model number is not included!!! WTF??? Good thing I didn't "LOCK" it eh???

On my set-up, 07 RK detachable tour pak 2-up, You have to bend the key to get it to fit. Also be careful with the silver button that gets pushed down to lock it. It breaks off very easy, ask me how I know

George.

I had the same problem with my detachable TourPak. Bending the key about 45 degrees, about halfway up the legth of the shank, works perfectly.

Be sure to look at the key, in relation to the lock, and bend it in the right direction. Otherwise the key will still be useless.

You would think that they would of designed this correctly. I bent my pin and got it to work.
