Think you are worrying too much, Harleys are rarely stolen vs the rocket bikes. You will be in Belgium, nice country good people, besides they would not know how to ride an 800 - 900 pound bike and the noise will scare them. Or you can move to the USA and get a gun, camp all you want with no worries.
J/K man, but I do think you are too worried about someone stealing the bike. Just follow most of the suggestions above.
I'm not sure this is what you are looking for; but remove the battery from the fob. The bike won't "see" the fob, and the security system will be fully activated.
With my bike if I'm more than a step or 2 away from the bike the security system arms itself....I can hear it chirp as I come in and out of range when I'm working in the garage.
It has been my experience that if my key fob is more than 6 feet away from my bike the alarm is activated. When I've been in my garage and set my keys on my work bench and pick my bike up off of the jiffy stand the alarm gives me the warning chirp that my fob is to far away.
Same here. If your bike is within 5-10 feet of the tent I would think you would hear someone overiding the fork lock and disc lock if you have one. If your more than 5-10 feet away the alarm should be activated.
I try not to worry about it that much. I do what I can but it still boils down to the fact if they want yours that bad they are going to get it. Lifes to short. Do what you can and have good insurance for what you can't.
Might try the Xena disc lock/alarm. Makes enough racket to wake up a whole campground if anyone moves the bike. Went off during a storm while I was sleeping in a motel,,,woke me out of a deep sleep.
