I have a 1988 FLHS that has a Rev-Tech 6 speed. Last year I lost a trapdoor bearing and it chipped two sets of gears and I can't get jsut the gears from Rev-Tech, they are out of stock along with a few of the bearings. As far as I know this is the only 6 speed avaliable for my bike. Question is does anyone know of anyone else that offers a 6 speed for my bike or what mods would I need to do to the bike to upgrade to the newer style trans. So far I know the 5 speed gears are interchangeable from 1987 to at least 1990. The Mainshaft has been changed along with the clutch basket. Has anyone done this or know if it can be done.
