When was the last time you watched Easy Rider? I was in the grocery and saw a re-edited version DVD that I snapped up for $9.00!
It had trailers and commentary by Fonda and Hopper. Dig it, flash from the movie made in 1969 with Fonda looking like the skinny Captain A; and Hopper like the Rat Dog - to the current commentaries: Hopper turning into a blue hair, and Fonda's bug eyes all gone.
A great movie, if you can find a copy.
And what did I discover from my recent route to Laughlin and back? Route 89 and 160, yep! That's the roads they tooled down for the early part of the film. What a Deja Vu, all of one week after I rode those same roads. Can't wait to make the run in 09 when I will stop often and burn one... paying homage ya know!
I've seen it a couple times in the last year. I've got it on DVD. I love the scenes where they're cruising on the open road, not a care in the world... That's what riding is all about and it captures that in the film.
My DVD doesn't have those trailers or interviews though. Where are those highways you mention that it was filmed on?
