I think all 3 pipes you have chosen would be a good choice. I think you heard wrong on the performance of the pro pipe though... Like others have said, if it is performance and sound, the thunderheader would be number 1 with the Bassani number 2. If looks play a factor which you didn't state, then the newBub 2-1 for sure!
check out Hooker's tunable 2-1. only takes a minut to go from torque to horsepower and ability to stop at any point in between. i have a near new set that works great but i don't like the look of a 2-1 on a touring bike. cost over $600 will sell for $250 delivered http://www.holley.com/27721HKR.asp.
I just put a Samson "Caliber" 2 into 1 on my 03 Ultra, came with a 1 1/2" baffle for stockengines and a 2" for modified , All I have really done isinstall aPCIII and a SE filter on my bike but the pipes are good looking, fit very well and sound great, haven't finished with the engine build, its appears to perform better but it may just be the great sound (kinda loud) gs
Personally I don't like the look of 2-1 pipes, it just doesn't fit a Harley and looks too much like foriegn but if you must the Thunderheader is supposed to be a 1st class system.

I love the look of those pipes. It's nice to hear some positive comments regarding them. They don't get universal praise for fit and finish or performance. Please keep us informed as your complete your build.
I'd buy my SuperTrapp Supermegs all over again if I had to. I still have the closed end cap so I can have a "quiet" exhaust if need be. As I remember, the White Brothers E-Pipe won the shoot out in Cycle for 2-into-1 exhaust with Supertrapp in 2nd place. God knows where you can find White Brothers products now...
I need to call BS on your V&H power comment. My Fatty had Rinehart dual shorties. I picked up over 10 HP just changing from them to my V&H Pro Pipe. I gained power, reasonable sound and avery well manufactered pipe, I lost a well finished pipe(s), an obnoxious sound level, much poorer performance. I am past my "cant make too much noise" stage. If one is going to spend "stupid" money on performance upgrades, whyundo some of the gaines with dual pipes? She now makes just under 110 hp/tq. I also love my Supertrapps 2/1, all your choices look like smart pipes AND usually 2/1 systems are cheaper. By the BY, if anyone wants the Rineharts mentioned above PM me and I will near give em away.
The older ProPipe, the HS, Is a better pipe than the newer BP. Problem is no bungs. I had the hs on my previous bike and really liked it. I have the supertrapp supermeg 2:1 now and it's bit quieter but I am considering finding a propipe hs and installing the bungs for the 02 sensors. That's what I owuld reccomend if you have ruled out the D&D. The thunderheaders make pretty good power too but they are extremely loud and the fit and finish is some of the worst I have seen. Bub's pretty, loud, less performance than the others mentioned....
That'll be $.02 please!
