My engine has valve train noise.I took the bike to the dealer last week and the service writer road it.When he got back said it did not sound bad.He said he has riden others that sounded worse.
He also said "you have the ext. warranty,right?"I said yes.He then said it runs good just ride it.
I would take it to a dealership and see what they say.

Don't forget unless the Honda you werer riding was rather old it was water cooled. It is amazing how much the water quites down the noises. You are just hearing the noises that get covered up by the water jackets. The Harley makes some noises, especially the top end. Enjoy!

I absolutley have no isse with the "sounds" my bike makes. I just didn't want to be riding my bike thinking it was making any particular noise just because it was a Harley and had character (and is air cooler) when actually there was something wrong. Thanks to all these responses I can go on riding and enjoying my RK as much as I have been without the worry my engine is screwed up. Aside from noise my bike starts up great and runs great.
