Default Amsoil Oil Filter

I switching to Amsoil this weekend. Should I also switch to the Amsoil oil filter? Is it better than stock? I've seen tons of guys talk about switching to Amsoil but no one has said if they switched to the filter.

Thanks.

I have to agree with the K & N. I have had it on my bike, and like the nut on the end for easier removal. When I did my last change, I didn't want to wait to get one, so I just used the HD one. I have not tried the Amsoil filter, although I do use that oil. Maybe on my next change I will pick one up, along with the fluids...

I tried the Amsoil filter and after reading more about the micron count of the filter i decided after 500 miles to go back to the harley oil filter. Amsoil is 10 microns and harley is 4 microns which shocked me a little so for the same price i will keep using the harley oil filter.

I tried the Amsoil filter (smaller format, different flow hole count)and my oil pressure was definitly different -- it was high by 5-7 psi. I posted here looking for any issues. It even seened to start blowing oil out pof the breather (?) which was strange.

Too many odd things, so I switched back to the HD. No more high pressure or blowing.......

FWIW.....
