Default rider backrest

hello I'm interested in buying a rider backrest for my 08 EGC and the seat has been changed. So they have a std, and a ajustable backrest for like 300.00 I want to know if anyone has one of these on a 08 and which one they have and how they like it. Don't know if I should spring for the ajustable one or not.

Great investment, if you are a tall rider you may need to bend the backrest, otherwise it puts right on the tank. I am 6'3" much better after I bent it. Good luck...

I'd buy the adjustable. It is really nice to move it a bit just to change the ride. Sometimes I'm looking for straight up and lots of support, other times I'm a bit lazy and resting back a bit. It also has height adjustment which I find very useful too. My vote is obvious... oh and I've had 6 back surgeries... do I get points for that or deductions for being dumb and doing the same things again and again and again.

For me the best extra i bought was the Adjustable backrest, when i wear leather or a t shirt in summer, i can adjust my comfort level, theres times i prefer to layback a bit more, on HWYS , intown im erect( NO thats at the beach) sit up straighter, i mean. VOTE for ADJUSTABLE.

thanks I'm so foolish I had it in my hand at dealer today the ajustable one and got cheap thinking maybe I could get away with the std. However this forum has once again brought to the table the infor one needs to make an intelligent decision. Thanks again everyone and the ajustable one it is.

I read a lot of different opinions before I ordered the adjustable backrest. I'm glad I got it as I have adjusted it on longer rides. Good dollars spent for me IMO.

I have the standard one and sometimes regret not spending the extra $$$ for the adjustable one. But it is what it is. I'm curious; for those of you that have the standard one, how did you bend the rods back to give you the ability to sit further back on the seat?

Hd dealer gave me the standard one for free when I bought my Ultra. Wouldnt go without it. Would have bought adjustable one but free is free.
