Default Rush question

I've got a 2007 FLHX. I have 2" Rush slip ons. They weren't loud enough so I removed the packing, cut them in half and put them back in. Sound wise, they are pretty close to what I want (although just a bit hollow sounding). Definitely wouldn't want to be any quieter. I'm about to purchase a Fuel Pak and K&N high flow but cannot find a map for this specific muffler set up. So I'm thinking about buying 2.5" baffles and maybe the Fullsac True Dual Conversion...V&H has a program for this set up. My question is, will the 2.5" baffles be louder, similar, or quieter than the 2" cut in half? Anyone have any experience/opinions with this?

know there louder than stk 2.o. but with your mods i'm not too sure. 2.5's were too loud for me on highway. hard to hear tunes. to each his own. good luck!!!

I can't tell you how much different it will be, I've never heard the sound with baffles cut. The only way I know to tune something custom like that is going to be with a race tuner on the dyno. If you're motor is basically stock, except for the Stage 1, I would steer clear of the 2.5", just not enough motor for that much exhaust. You can call Rush and talk to them about this. That said, I have a stock, '08 RK with Arlen Ness Big Sucker, FuelPak and Rush 2.25". I don't hear it much, I'm in front of it, but the first time I left the house with it, my ol' lady said, oh yeah, the neighbors are going to love you! She said this after living for years with a shovel and 2" straight drags, so I know it's plenty loud. Oh yeah, when I put all this on (last Thursday) I about peed my pants on how it improved the performance.

I ran the 2.5" with the packing removed on my 05 road king and loved them.....Had the 2" before switching to the 2.5" andthe 2.5" sounded much better...
